نموذج تحضير درس
1
The world of work
• Objectives
• Grammar: present &past tenses
• Functions : likes &dislikes
• Listening : Listen for gist & specific Information
• Reading : Read for gist
• Critical thinking :
• The positive contributions older people can make to society and the value of charitable organizations
• Speaking : Conduct an interview
• Writing : A report
Lesson 1
• Warm-up
• Before using the book , I introduce myself to students , then ask students to introduce themselves e.g. good morning , I’m….
• Teaching aids : flash cards, cut out, drawings, pictures…
• Presentation
•
1- I tell students that this unit is about work and divide them into
groups of 4 or 5 and tell them to think of all the jobs they know in
English
• 2-I tell 1 student in each group to keep a list of all the students ideas
• Now , I get students to read out their lists of jobs.
• Ex1
• I ask students to check the meaning of these words in their Active Study Dictionary
• Ex.2
• I tell students that they will hear 4 people talking about their jobs. Which speaker likes computers,…… 4 – 2 -1- 3
• In ex. 3
• ,Ss listen again and choose the correct answer
• 1- modern 2- outside 3- 2 4 – school
• In ex. 4
• , Students read and answer the questions
I ask students to look at the picture, what job does it show?
Which speaker does this job?
Ss work in pairs to decide which job the speaker does
Civil engineer- hotel receptionist – civil engineer
news reporter – computer programmer
• In ex.5 ,
• I tell a student “ Imagine you have one of the above jobs and tell a partner why you like it using this language”
• I read through the text in the box with the class
• I tell students to choose one of the jobs of the 4 speakers on the tape
• I put students in groups of 3 or 4
• I tell them to use the language in the box to take turns to talk about their jobs to their group
• The other student must guess what job he/ she is talking about
• Example :
•
Student1 : The reason I like this job is that it is different every
day. Computers are always changing. I enjoy working here because I learn
new things all the time
• Student2 : Computer programmer
• Ex6 : The sounds of English
• I ask students to look at the words in the box
• I ask different students to read out the words
• I ask students to listen for letters which look the same but sound different in different words.
• I tell students to look up the words in their dictionaries to check pronunciation
• Now I play the tape and get ss to repeat the words
• I organize students to work in pairs, taking turns at the roles. Student1points to a word and student 2 pronounces it
• Answers : g in grandchildren and Germany
• Ou in countries and count
• Ea in leader and headline
• W.B.
• EX.1 : I ask students to read the situation
• I tell them to think what they might say in each of the situations
• I ask them to write their answers
• I get some students to read out their ideas to the class
• They will have different answers
• EX.2 : I ask students to look at the words in the box
• I get the class to pronounce the words aloud and then ask if they can explain what the words mean
• Now I tell them to use the words to complete the answers to the questions

• Ex.3
• I ask ss to look in their books
• I tell them to read the words in the first column loud and then the words in the second column
• Now I get ss to match the words in the first column with the words with the same sound in the second column
• Afterwards I get ss to work in pairs
• Student 1 say the word in the first column and student 2 says the word with the same sound in the second column
• E.g. A) kean, mean c) noise, boys
• b) news, uniform d) company, country
• e) dead, head
